When writing my 100 words, I had a number of things I wanted to get across about my project:
- What is it?
- Where it came from?
- How does it do it?
With 100 words being quite to do all this, I knew I had to be concise and straight to the point when crafting my statement. In the end, I was happy with the words I created to summarise my project.
Codable is a smartphone focused learning experience that aims to make the process of learning code less daunting for beginners. It stems from an interest into how adult informal learning could be encouraged on mobile devices and how elements of constructionism learning could turn these devices into proficient learning tools for topics such as coding languages.
Codable allows learners to take charge of their learning by allowing them to tackle and learn code at their own pace. Rather than interacting directly with code, users complete tasks using multiple choice options; taking a pseudocode approach to learning code as opposed to traditional hands on approaches.
