I've started week 4 with the good news of receiving my beta key invite to InVision's new tool Studio, their answer to Sketch and Photoshop. This reinvigorated the challenge for me and got me excited to use it to design my next prompt - an email receipt.
I'm really happy with how this has turned out, and I think being able to add the extra bit of interactivity makes all the difference in the final designs. I think I've still had a bit of teething issues with font sizes and spacing, but I'm putting that down to getting to grips with the tool today, as I'm still used to Photoshop's more precise measuring system.
I'm really glad I got access to this tool because I think this will really help me improve on my upcoming designs going forward. It provides correctly spaced guides straight away which is perfect for me as this will really help me improve my sense of scale. Being able to view my work in real time on the devices I'm working on is also a bonus on that front.
It's going to take some getting used too moving from Photoshop and while it still lacks features that make Photoshop the superior tool to design for, having access to an interaction tool already opens up more possibilities to creative dynamic designs than Photoshop does.
